New FishMeter Link software and driver makes sampling even easier

The most sturdy and durable fish measuring board in the business becomes more user-friendly. The new FishMeter Link software allows for easier integration with your data handling application of choice such as Excel. A driver is available for customers who want to integrate the FishMeter in their own registration software.Years of high pressure hosing, sharp knives and heavy handling aboard research vessels trailing the roughest oceans on the planet has proven the FishMeter to be the toughest in the business. Milled out of POM and water resistant according to IP67 standard, the quality has proven hard to beat for competing products. To further enhance the user-friendliness of the measuring board, Scantrol Deep Vision has developed a new driver and software for the FishMeter series.FishMeter Link software offers a universal solution that makes it possible to use the board with any Windows application capable of receiving data input from a keyboard, such as Excel, Word, database applications or data entry forms in web browsers. The software pushes data from the FishMeter directly into your application. A sequence of keystrokes can be configured by mapping the function keys on the FishMeter board to perform specific commands. For customers looking to use the FishMeter with their own software, a new, unified driver will support the full range of Bluetooth and USB boards. It provides a C♯/.NET class library for users integrating support for the FishMeter in their own software, as well as a COM interface allowing for integration in other application development frameworks – including Visual Basic for Applications as used in in Access or Excel based systems.— With this new driver we ensure that a broad range of end users can benefit from easy integration into their own registration solutions, explains Senior Development Engineer at Scantrol Deep Vision, Håvard Vågstøl.Related:
