Renewed Focus on Marine Research Products

In order to keep a unique focus on our marine research products and customers, Scantrol AS has separated this activity into a new company, Scantrol Deep Vision AS.2014 marks a new era for Scantrol’s activity in marine research. Scantrol Deep Vision’s team is dedicated solely to the development and sales of our fish measuring board, the FishMeter, and the underwater camera system, Deep Vision.— The new company gives renewed focus and drive to develop the marine research products that Scantrol has worked with over a number of years, explains managing director at Scantrol, Helge Hammersland, about the decision to separate this part of Scantrol’s activity into a new company.— We will be able to give our customers a new level of support and keep a continuous focus on the marine research products in order to develop cutting edge solutions for fish sampling and survey.Scantrol Deep Vision is located in the same offices as Scantrol, in Sandviken, Bergen, keeping the new company close to the knowhow that has been developed at Scantrol over a number of years in the industry.The immediate result of the reorganization is a new software for the FishMeter that will be launched in January 2015, as well as the launch of a commercial prototype of Deep Vision that will be available for rent from Q3 2015.
